TRANSFERS:
Your BIC will handle sending in your NC license, board, and MLS transfers for you using the forms filled out during onboarding. The only thing you'll need to submit yourself will be your SC license transfer through your LLR portal. Follow these steps to transfer:
*Please note that submitting transfers will notify your previous firm immediately and if unprepared, can lead to losing access to your memberships. While this all can eventually be fixed, please make sure to stay in communication with your onboarding team to make a solid plan to avoid this issue.
NEW AGENT (SC):
- Take the pdf of your license application filled out during onboarding and submit it with SCREC. Go to llr.sc.gov and hit Manage My License up top to login to your LLR account. From there, find the Document Submission tab and submit your application. If you need further directions on that, see the directions from LLR on how to submit the form.
- When your license number has generated on the commission website (about 2-3 business days after the form is submitted and the fee is paid), our BIC will send in your board application. Keep an eye out for communication from your board to confirm payment and once that's officially processed, they'll send a letter of good standing back to your BIC.
- Once we receive the letter, we then send it and your MLS application into Canopy. They typically take 3-5 business days to process your application, and you'll want to keep an eye out for a call from Canopy to confirm payment and getting set up. They will also give direction on how to complete their online orientation that needs to be completed before you officially gain access to the matrix.
NEW AGENT (NC):
- Your BIC will submit your license activation form with NCREC. This typically can take up to 10 business days to show as active and affiliated on their online directory. The delay is normal, and the second your BIC submits that form, you are good to go.
